seaweed salt

If you are new to using seaweeds in your cooking, we often advise using seaweed as a salt alternative, or as a salt substitute if you are on a low sodium diet.

However, our Organic Sugar Kelp & Alaria Flakes also pair very well with sea salt if you like things extra salty and ocean-forward like we do.

Sea salt is a natural alternative to table salt and is a rich source of minerals, including sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Unlike table salt, which is highly processed and stripped of its natural minerals, sea salt retains its wholesome nutrients and enhances the flavors of your food. Adding sea salt to your meals can help improve digestion, regulate blood pressure, and even boost energy levels. Furthermore, sea salt contains fewer additives, making it a healthier choice for those looking to reduce their sodium intake.

Sugar kelp and Alaria not only provide an extra nutritional boost to the salt, but a briny flavor as well that pairs wonderfully with buttered popcorn, noodles, eggs, or cooked seafood.

And like many of our favorite seaweed recipes, this one can be tossed together in no time.
